All faculty members of the Betty Lin ECLC Early Learning Center are committed to providing the best quality childcare possible to your child. We strive to create a caring environment in which your child will thrive surrounded with love. All employees meet or exceed personnel qualification set by the state of Texas as listed in the DFPS Minimum Standards for Licensed Childcare Centers.
The Betty Lin ECLC Early Learning Centers uses research based practices in its approach to learning and care. Faculty utilizes Fun Shine Express as the main curriculum in the center. This curriculum is a developmentally appropriate program that maximizes learning in a variety of experiences including circle time, opportunities for play, small and large group activities, learning centers, and daily routines.
Sherlene has been apart of the Betty Lin Early Childhood Learning Center since 1989. She started as the Assistant Administrator for her mom. She was responsible for all the daily operations of the daycare facility and implemented policies and procedures for all the wonderful staff that came in.
In 1998 she became the Child Care Trainer . She taught the staff how to make sure the food program was ran well, managed the correspondence between parents and staff. She partnered with community leaders , school administrators, and other agencies to ensure that the students got everything that they needed. She supported the director with Texas Rising Star status, Texas Department of Food Programs and so much more .
Sherlene's 25 years of experience in business management, early child development , and love for the kids has proven that she is well equipped to ensure that the kids always come first. She is always striving for more grants, staff development opportunities and education projects to make Betty Lin the place where you want to bring your child.
Emily comes with a wealth of knowledge starting as the toddler teacher in 2008. Emily graduated from DCCCD with an Early Childhood Education Degree. Since being with Betty Lin she has provided the love , education , and patience that the kids need to be excellent elementary students. Emily's dedication and hard work earned her the spot of Assistant Director . She provides organization , administration of seminars, fun activities for the child and an overall balance to the center .
